I love these "day of the dead" quilts. My son keeps asking me to make him a quilt with skulls on it. I've been at a loss and seeing these quilts make it obvious what direction I should go in. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration.

I saw this one in Chicago (well, Rosemont) and loved it in person, too.
Ya know, I think they must pretty much have the same exhibits at the Chicago show as the Houston show. I sort of suspected that already.
Also - I wonder if there are any commercial patterns with skulls? It's possible that there are. Anybody?
Skull patterns? If you hear of any let me know. I made the son who likes skulls a chenille quilt for christmas...with a border and appliqued skulls in the corners. I found a picture on the internet and used that as a pattern. I'd love some variety though.
You definitely inspired some ideas with your 'family snapshots.' :)
