I've seen her quilts lots of times - there's at least one at IQF just about every year - but I never realized how many pieces they have. She's very, very clever about disguising it.

I know it's hard to do precision piecing like she does, but still can't help thinking it's just a variation on stack and whack. Though I guess stack and whack came later, so that's maybe a dumbed down version of kaleidoscope quilts.

Also, I am very proud of myself for finally figuring out that the Mellicious who is originally posting all these pictures is really you, Mel. I am so dense sometimes.

They have a lot more pieces than stack and whack. I hadn't figured that out either until I looked at them up close. But yeah, similar concept. And I think you're right about the order.

Somebody in chat came up with "Mellicious", I think. Most of the time when you go to register places "Mel" is taken, so I started using Mellicious instead. Besides, it's funny.
