Redwood Trees

Here's an oldie but a goodie, from my newly-taken quilt festival pictures: Katie Paquini Masopust's Redwood Trees. I'm tired, and I have FOUR HUNDRED pictures, and I don't think more than a few of them will get uploaded tonight. Right now the new Flickr set contains exactly one picture (this one).

Four hundred pictures? Was I temporarily insane?

I don't blame you for taking so many pics - there were some gorgeous quilts there! I wound up with about 100 pics myself

I didn't think there was 400 quilts there! I was sad to see that in some areas with my favorite quilts, photography wasn't allowed (I remember Mama, etc.). Can't wait to see all of yours and remember all the beautiful quilts. I will hopefully post my pitiful 25 or so this weekend.

And did you notice that in most of the areas where photography wasn't allowed, they were selling a disk or a book? They like to imply that it's for the protection of the quilts, but somehow I doubt that, really.

It's their right to prohibit photography, and to sell the pictures, too, of course, but there are so many quilts there that my brain goes into overload, and it's only by taking pictures of my favorites that I can appreciate them properly. I barely even looked at the exhibits that said no photography - I just went on to the next one.
