I think this is a lovely, lovely quilt. I really just love everything about it.
I also think it's interesting that the Handmade category is completely dominated by the Japanese. Are they more into handmade quilts than Americans?

I would say there seems to be very few quilters out there who work by hand rather than by machine. A good friend and I both do, and we get funny looks every single time we mention it.
Yeah, I guess there are very few people who piece by hand, in particular - unless they're making a grandmother's flower garden, anyway. I know a good many people who hand-quilt at least some of their quilts, but relatively few who hand-piece regularly.
