Quilt above is from the exhibit "The Collaborative Quilting of Pagosa Springs" at the 2006 Houston International Quilt Festival. (That fancy name means it was made by 5th graders and their teacher.)

This is a great quilt. The houses are so... surreal.

Kindergarten quilt

My aunt's three grandchildren all got a "kindergarten quilt" - I guess to take to school for naps, would be the idea, right? (You can tell I don't have kids, can't you?) Anyway, this is a really cute (and easy) idea for a kids' quilt - although actually my aunt said she got the idea from one of my mom's quilts, which has an entirely different color scheme.
